About
Mr Emrecan Tarakçı is a PhD student in the NanoEngineering group. He received his BSc in information systems engineering through the Istanbul Technical University - SUNY Binghamton Dual Diploma Programme, and his MSc in informatics with a focus on artificial intelligence and robotics from the Technical University of Munich. He earned his MRes in photonic and electronic systems from University College London. His current research focuses on the design, fabrication and optimisation of reconfigurable metasurfaces, integrating machine learning and inverse design methods to enable high-performance, compact spectral and polarisation sensing. He is part of the joint Cambridge/UCL Photonic and Electronic Systems CDT programme.
He is a member of St John’s College.
