Mr Amir Nateghi joined the NanoEngineering group as a process technician in 2025. He holds an MSc in biochemical engineering from University College London (UCL). His academic and professional background spans bioprocessing, downstream purification, algal biotechnology and GMP-compliant manufacturing processes. Amir has contributed to both academic research and industrial projects across biotechnology, nanotechnology and sustainable biomanufacturing. His early research focused on the use of cyanobacteria for the green synthesis of nanoparticles, exploring their potential applications in environmental and biomedical engineering. At UCL, he gained hands-on experience with advanced chromatographic techniques and the optimisation of biopharmaceutical production processes. Motivated by curiosity and a drive to explore emerging technologies, Amir joined the group to expand his expertise into composite materials and sensor development focused on electronic skins for dexterous robots.
